    Default Question-Sandstone Coping Sealer

I have 10 month old pool with sandstone coping.

Problem is that 1) sandstone is bleaching lighter in sun (cosmetic) and 2) is soft and as weathers from water or feet small bits spall off in thin layer and into pool and "disolve" which does eventually get cleaned up Legend machine but still a small pain as worried about coping after 10 years.

Pool builder recommended sealing sandstone coping so that looks darker and presumably reduces spalling. He said clean thoughly, let dry on hot day, then paint with an Outdoor Stone Enhancer product.

    Any advice please . . . .

I doubt it will help much with the spalling but it will certainly make it darker which, If I interpret your post correctly, is what you're looking for.

It will not accelerate spalling and may even help a little....but probably very little.

Make certain the stone is absolutely dry before applying.
