I have reset the cell since replacing the original 4.5 year old cell yesterday. Test results; 3000 ppm of salt, 80 degrees, 21v 4.5 amps. The warning light is still flashing. We have very hard water with high alkalinity and calcium. The old cell was becoming full of calcium in less than a week. When my unit was new I ran it an entire summer without cleaning it. Is is possible that the power unit is the issue? It's also 4.5 years old. The system runs six months a year.
Thanks for your posts. This site is very helpful.

It's most likely the inconsistent quality and construction of the generic cell. AutoPilot does not endorse nor recommend them. We've seen many issues with them.
If the Power Unit was the issue, you would see a much lower voltage and amperage, and Low Amps/Cell?.
