I am in the process of draining my 24' pool to repair several bb sized holes in the pool wall. I plan on leaving around 2' of water, pulling the liner off in the affected area, cleaning any rust from the holes on both inside and out, priming and painting and then riviting some sheet metal over the repaired area. Ill post some pics of the repair.

After all this, what are my chances of reattaching the liner, it is a j hook. Do you think it will shink so much that I will not be able to reattach it?

Just a note, if you have water between the pool wall and liner, find the hole in the liner and repair it. All last summer I notice water behind the liner and was always looking for a hole, couldnt find it. The water found its way out by rusting several small hole in the pool wall, not I have a much larger project than I wanted.
