Hi, thanks for the assist. My lot is lower than those on either side, but my home and pool are on the high part of my lot. There is a slope from the back porch down toward the pool, but I have a swell that picks up that water and diverts it twd the property line. I do have a good amount of water that drains across my lot neat the property lines in heavy rains. On the shallow end, the drainage comes within about 10ft of the walk in steps. However, it drains off pretty quickly. I am on the city sewer, so no septic system. I live in N. Mississippi where the soil has a good deal of clay. The pool is a salt water system, not sure if that has any bearing on my problem, but thought I would toss it out there just incase it does. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I have a call into the installer now and am waiting for him to call back regarding the indented vermiculite botton. I hate to say it, while I really had a lot of trust in him initially, I get the feeling he is just blowing smoke at me now.

    Hey again

Your SWCG has no bearing on the ground water issue (but I think you made a great! choice in getting it.()

Being lower than your neighbors sends a lot of run-off towards your pool and your clay soil exasperates the problem

Your best option may be to install curtain drains at ~ the bottom of the slopes going into your lot and maybe even a couple of well points closer to the pool, to insure that the water can't collect around the pool.

p.s. your PB probably meant well, just didn't figure in the water problem i.e. - he wasn't 'malicious', just clueless
