Motor Mounts or Not?

Well, the company did, after all, supply a plastic base for the motor, so it didn't become an issue about the motor mounts. Any tips for decreasing the noise of the filter. Not horrible, but maybe carpet under the base?

Mine's like Carl's, has rubber feet - never moves, never shakes, it's actually nice to have it "floating" since it's easy to take indoors for winter and I don't put stresses on fittings or pump housing when messing with the plumbing.
