I had a Proline system for 15 years. The motor was mounted to its base (which was of a piece with the sand filter base) quite neatly and I never had a problem. But because of age and parts availability, I switched this year to Hayward. When the men came to install the Hayward there was no mounting base for the motor. The just placed the motor on the concrete slab and told me that this model motor "doesn't come with a base." That can't be, can it??? Won't it just flap in the breeze sitting there unmounted? Even the owner's manual says "mount the motor to the base. . ." Tell me I'm not crazy.
