cloudy water

My water is near clear. I took the pucks out yesterday so in reality the pucks were in there about 24 hours.

My CL is still near 20 (shock where I have been trying to keep it)
CYA has dropped and is near 25
ALK is super low 60
PH is low 7.0

With my water near clear and my CYA down soo much I am going to wait until my CL is near 10 and then look at my water.

But I am going to add 2lbs of baking powder to try and learn how raising alk affects my PH. Rainy weekend so it is a good weekend to play w/the water to learn. If I am doing something wrong or planning to do something wrong , please let me know.

Think of Total Alkalinity as stabilizer for you pH. When your T/A is right, pH won't move around as much.

But also remember that as pH DOES go up and down, T/A goes up and down with it. If you drop pH to 7.0, T/A will drop. If you raise it to 7.8, T/A will rise with it.
