I'm checking with Pentair to see if they think my filtering capabilities are significantly decreased with my 1.5 pump. If so I will replace.
Thanks again everyone for your assistance.

But, just remember, Pentair is in the business to sell pumps and make lots of money. Bigger pumps equal more money in their pocket. I'm just sayin ..................
bigger filter means less cleaning- 36 is probably enough for 10k gallons, but 48 would give you an extra 1/3 time between clean/refill, pretty much...
even with the bigger filter, I'd down size the pump- and consider a 2 speed run on low for filtering, only high for water fountains/etc and vacuuming-
on low, consumes like 1/4 power but 1/2 water flow, so on low 2 hours filters as well (sometimes even better) than high for 1 hour, but less total power used to get it there!
Ok thank you. I think I'll stick with the 36. And a two speed 1 HP will save electricity and pay for itself eventually.
