We have a fairly old pool and have been limping along for the last 6 years or so. The liner should probably be replaced. It is faded in some areas and wrinkled in others. It does hold water fairly well though. The bigger problem is that the skimmers I have are very old and one of them has a leak where the intake line connects to the skimmer itself. The intake pipe is PVC but the skimmer looks like galvanized. There is a putty like substance at the union between the two materials and the leak is there. I've minimized it some by digging it up and using some sealant but it usually only lasts for a season tops. I'd like to have the skimmers replaced (they are set in concrete deck) and replumbed to the filter as well as the liner replaced. We might also like to add pool steps to the pool when this is done...

Anyone have any idea how much this might run ballpark figure? I'd like to start saving etc...

thanks much
