I'd like to hear recommendations too! I've had a Hayward Navigator for years. It worked well for a while, but even with a number of rebuilds, it doesn't climb to the shallow end any more. If there was a better option, I'd love to try it!
I have a 30,000 gal salt water in-ground-pool with a dedicated suction line. Does anyone have recommedations for a suction side cleaner?
Also, my pool pump is 1.5 HP and is about 50 ft away from the pool. Any thoughts about whether I am underpowered for a suction side cleaner?
Thanks,
Steve

Me three on suction cleaner info.
18x36 vinyl liner, 16,500 gal, non-diving. Hayward 1.5hp 2-speed pump w/StarClear Cartridge filter 120sf
my 16 year old is a suction side cleaner- he sucks in the groceries, then goes clean the pool! lol
no advice- I'm a manual cleaner...
Just bought the Zodiac MX-8, mainly due to the good reviews on Amazon and the $100 rebate. Works fine in my 15,000 gallon pool but I do have a 2Hp pump (supplies pool and attached spa) without a dedicated suction line (use the skimmer and have to close off my main drain valve and partially close the second skimmer to get plenty of suction). Picks up everything that I need it to and is fairly quick
