I have a 6 year old DIG-220 (with original SC-60 cell!) last week it wasn't powering up. It would flash the "Check System" light for maybe 10 or so seconds then stop and no display. Looking around, I found a replacement power module, but didn't know for sure if it would fix my problem, me being cheap and not willing to gamble $350, I couldn't make myself buy it!

I Looked at all the electronics for any burnt or otherwise abnormal things, the only thing I noticed was a couple of the capacitors were bulging (one of the biggest ones and a medium sized one was suspicious as well). So went on a hunt to find replacements, nothing local but I found what I needed at digikey.com. I can't test the old ones to see which ones failed and they are cheap, so decided to replace most of them (all the bigger ones). I ordered 9 capacitors - $40 worth. I desoldered the old ones and soldered in the new ones a couple days ago, connected everything, it's been working since!

Only fatality was the clear plastic cover over the display, when I was laying it down I guess I laid it on a rock or something and punched a small hole in the window, (it's yellowed and brittle anyway). I'll have to get it fixed before the rains come next winter. I'll probably cut away the rest of the plastic window and silicone a small piece of window glass behind it.

Anyway hope this helps someone.
