    Welcome to the forum! It is fine to go ahead and use the liquid chlorine. Many of us (me included) pour the bleach slowly into the skimmer while the pump is running. It would be best for your to post a current set of water testing results for us to take a look at so we can better advise you. If you don't have a good kit, you'll need to get one. We recommend the Taylor k-2006 or 2006C. If you buy it through the following link to Amazon, the Pool Forum makes a little money on the sale. I suggest you not add anything else to your pool other than chlorine until you run some numbers past us. Sometimes, putting in too many things, many of which are unneeded, only make the problem worse.
