    Angry Ugh...BIRDS!!!

Brand new Diamond Brite yesterday and started filling right away. At some point during the day, some birds decided to use the sun deck as a dumping station and left three little piles of bird poop. I tried to scrub with a brush but to no avail. Is there any way to get these stains out? Good night, I am going to be highly irate if we're stuck with bird dung stains!!!

I'm not sure of how to get the stains out, but you could put a fake snake on your sun deck to scare the birds away.

We tried the diluted acid route but that didn't work. My PB thinks it will start to come out with the acid wash and brushing but I am not convinced. Not to sound too crude here, but birds eat berries and what goes in one end, comes out the other. The droppings were a blue berry color and now the stains look brown. Maybe they will come out, I sure hope so. Someone on another forum suggested wet sand paper...any thoughts on that?

Berry's? I would try some bleach..................then a good acid wash. Do a small area first to check the results. good luck.

Well, I don't have bird stains (exactly) but some grackles or crows or some other large birds have decided to make regular, large "deposits" on my AG wall top and in the pool. Any suggestions on how to discourage them from using my pool as a potty?

In addition to the suggestions already made (vinegar, bleach) -- there is another that gets berry stains out of clothes -- pour boiling water over the stain. I've read NOT to use any kind of detergent (dish, laundry), which will set the stain.

I used boiling water on an old berry juice stain on my son's stark white fencing jacket, and it took it right out. It took about four cups of boiling water to get rid of it, pouring slowly.

I did not have to get to the next suggestion, which was to use Oxyclean or another oxidizing cleaner.

Softscrub with bleach and a stiff bristle brush - - - if that doesn't get it try some Oxyclean (or similar Oxybleach).
