My question is a qualitative one, so hopefully it can be answered with the information I have.

I have an 18k gal in-ground pool and am perfectly happy with the current turnover rate, although I don't know what that rate is. (I run the system 8-10 hours a day and always have crystal clear water.) But I plan to add a DIY solor heating 'system' extension....50 ft of 2" black PVC pipe exposed to the sun.

Currently, my system has around 40 ft of 2" pipe, and the lift contribution to TDH is around 2 ft (the return lines being about 2 ft. above the pump). The new heater extension will not add to this (i.e. will be at the same level as the current intake line).

My question is this: Given the addition of 50 ft. of PVC (but no change in lift), will I have a "significant" change in turnover rate? (As I said, my question is qualitative. I would consider "significant" to be 20% or more.)
