Thanks for all the help!
You caught us in a major transitional period, where we were dealing both with a bunch of spammers (up to 20 bogus registrations per day!) and a move to new software and a new server.
I'll move your thread to the SWCG forum -- maybe someone has done something similar.
But I think you are asking for a lot of trouble with this. First, it's going to be hard, and maybe impossible, to size an SWCG so that it will have chlorine delivery rates appropriate for both a spa and a pool. Second, the control and timer mechanism internal to the SWCG's I've seen aren't going to synchronize well with your pool/spa switch over.

Sorry you didn't get any replies. As Ben said, your registration was in the midst of some big changes around here, plus your topic is one that not too many people can offer advice about. We really don't mean to not give help to someone when we can. Hopefully someone will see your post who can offer some help now. (By the way, it is usually best to refrain from the use of sarcasm. mtrb7, for your application, you're best suited for the Pool Pilot Total Control System, which uses ORP and pH sensors to automatically feed chlorine and acid, regardless of the size of the pool or spa.
The problem with using a single unit with a pool then changing it to a spa, using the same equipment set, and especially since it's not a spill over spa, is that it's not going to control your chlorine levels without you adjusting the output setting of the salt system, everytime you switch from pool to spa, and back. Because there is such a big volume and chlorine demand difference between your pool and spa, you'll have to drop the output down really low, in order to avoid overchlorinating the spa.
The Total Control unit will read and adjust your chlorine level for you automatically. It is quite a bit more expensive, but it will do the job.

Poolsean, does the Pentair Intellitouch (or EasyTouch or SunTouch) with SWCG allow the SWCG to be programmed for different output levels for pool versus spa?
Thanks.
Short of flipping through their owners manual to research it, I do not know the answer to that. I believe Hayward has something like that, and AutoPilot will be introducing software to allow dual settings for pool or spa modes soon.

Just to follow up for whoever is interested, the EasyTouch (and Intellitouch) system for Pool/Spa combo will allow different settings on the Intellichlor for the pool and the spa. Because I have an Intelliflo VS pump, I'l probably go with the the EasyTouch system.
Thanks for help!
