The booster should have been installed after the filter in the first place so what you are suggesting is a good idea. The purpose of a booster pump is to raise the pressure and they are designed to be placed after the filter so there should be no problem.

But I currently do not have a booster pump. The polaris is powered by my main pump currently and what i want to avoid is moving the jandy valve after the filter and suddenly needing a booster pump to keep the polaris moving.

    Ah, sorry I missunderstood.

What is the model# of your cleaner?
What model pump do you have?
What is your clean filter pressure?

A polaris 360, 165 & 65 don't require a booster so they should work fine post filter. A booster cleaner such as 480, 380, 280, 180 might not work post filter but it depends some on your setup.

The branding on the bottom has rubbed off so i cant quite tell but it looks like a 380. It has ribbed hosing. Unfortunately, the writing has worn off the pump as well. All i could make out was C-Fab 1.5HP. Clean filter pressure is just over 10PSI.

Thanks for the advice, I really appreciate it. Think i'll take a stab at it this weekend and if the polaris slows, I'll just have to add the booseter or put it back the way i had it.

Again, Thanks for taking the time to give me some advice.
