The first thing you need to do is figure out your starting point--run a set of test numbers with a good, drop-based kit, or at a minimum take a sample to the pool store to get your numbers and then repost them here. If your pH is somewhere in the 7.0-7.6 range, then you'll need to leave it alone and start bleaching. If it
s below 7.0, then getting it back up will be a priority. As for bleaching, you really can't do that until you know your beginning CYA number--and CYA has been known to stay stable over a winter, and it has frequently been known to completely disappear and have to be re-added.
