    SWCG will work fine on low speed. However since pump run time is usually increased when running on low speed you might need to lower the cell output to compensate for this. In other words, longer pump run time and lower cell output will generate the same amount of chlorine you are generating on high speed with a shorter pump run time and higher cell output. The reason pump run time is increased on low speed is because to turn over the same amount of water on low speed will take a longer run time than on high speed.

    Congrats on your retirement, Waterbear. From the same source that I got the question about low speed SWG efficiency, I've been told that "all" SWGs don't begin to raise chlorine levels until they've been running at least 6 hours. I've never heard that suggested or seen it discussed before. Any truth to that, IYHO?
