    Default Temperature Sensors

In new pool and spa construction, where the temperature sensors go. Is there a specific distance like half way from bottom to top?

I have never heard of putting a sensor in the pool itself. They normally go in the plumbing after the filter. The downside of course is that you can only tell the temperature of the pool while the pump is running but it represents more of a mix of temperatures which is more representative.
