    Default CYA Question

After about a year I've got my CYA down to 20 from 120. Now it seems that I may have gone too far. What is the "ideal" level? I have a 20000 gal. IG Marcite pool. Also if I need to raise it some, should I just start using the pucks in my in-line feeder again or buy some stabilizer?

I like 30-40. Pucks or stabilizer? Since you do have a reading of 20 already, I think you can go either way. If you already have bought some pucks, go ahead and use them for awhile - but monitor the cya level. Also remember that trichlor pucks are very acidic, so if you do decide to use them, you'll also need to watch your ph level to make sure it doesn't drop too low. Or - you can just add a little stabilizer if you prefer - but only a little. Either way will be fine.
