The sensor (mounted on the inlet / outlet header), is done. You will need to replace it. Thats the way it has been, for me.

Now, i suppose that the plug (on th circuit board), could go bad, I just haven't ever seen it. I have changed maybe 10, over the years. A very reliable sensor IMO.

Note: There may be a chart in your owners manual that will list various resistances to temperature, if you wanted to test the sensor with an ohm meter.

    Did that make any sense?

Which sensor? There is a sensor on the INLET with 3 wires (2 red, 1 black) and there is another sensor on the side of the OUTLET. There are only 2 wires on the outlet sensor with spade connectors.

By the way, I just checked this and now the other LED light is on (between OVERTEMP and SENSOR). Before, only the LED between SENSOR and FAIL was lit. Do you know what each ones of these mean?

    Thanks

My replacement temperature sensor showed up today and I installed it. I still get the same error lights. Any help?

What i have been told (from Raypak) is that when that light has come on, its that the board has experienced and over temp condition, not water temp, but probably a voltage problem within the board. Unfortunately the board is done, and will need to be replaced.
