Default Can't get CYA levels up

I have an 18' round AG pool with 54" walls.
I have added a full 2 lbs of CYA using the panty hose tied in front of the return jet method.
Pump/filter have been running for 3 days; 24 hours a day.
I have tested water 3 x using the Taylor K 2006 and can not get the CYA levels to go up at all. My water is sparkling clear, but I think it's because I'm dumping in ~1 gallon every other day of Chlorox.

Is it possible that my jug of CYA was bad? Help? TIA!

Sometimes it takes up to 4-5 days before the CYA registers in the water. Is all the CYA in the pantyhose dissolved?

2 lbs of CYA will raise your 7200 gal pool to 30 ppm which is the lowest that many tests can measure. I would add another half pound (scant half cup is close) to bump the level up slightly in case your test is just not registering it.
Wait a week until you test for it since sometimes it does take a while to show up and be sure NOT to backwash from the time you add until you test to be sure not to accidentally backwash it away.
