Re: New Liner
I have a 26,000 gallon Grecian shaped pool and I watched them install my liner. My pool was built in 1995 and I had my liner replaced in 2007. I think getting 12 years out of my liner with the abuse I subjected it to, was fantastic! It seems your handy with various aspects of your pool. You have a L-shaped pool with some step problems. If you buy the liner and install it yourself, you will probably save some money. I had a slight variation in one seam with a very small wrinkle. Most people would not notice it, but I did. It was a manufacturing mistake and they gave me an additional $400.00 off the liner. I had a local company install my liner. The only thing I'll say about installing it yourself is, if you tear it or screw the install up, it's on you. Return cuts, skimmers, main drain, steps, etc. can be a problem. If you align it wrong or cut wrong it's on you. If you measure wrong, it's on you. If you have a pool company do it, after checking references and going and seeing some liner installs, then choose a company. I personally would not install a liner in my pool after watching it installed. These companies install liners all the time. The question isn't can you, the question is, do you want to risk it costing you more if you create any problems or cannot complete the install without professional help.
