We ended up drilling out where the screw stands were, using tygon tubing to create our own stands and screwing the electronic panel to the box that way. We added a silicone sealant to the screws on the exterior to keep water out. It works great.
Has anyone with a PoolPilot had the screw projections disintegrate, causing the electronic panel to fall away making it impossible to use the panel manually? I can not adjust the output, test the unit or turn it on or off this way. I see no way to remedy it other than a new cover-and I do not know if that is available. Any one with a fix for this? It is still working on the program but I need to be able to make adjustments and can't now.I have contacted AutoPilot and am waiting for a response. In the mean time any suggestions are most welcome.
PoolSean, if you see this, I checked the link you sent on on a different forum and unfortunately mine is the model NOT involved in the recall.
