Re: new pool
update
Well nothing has went well or as expected.
I did start the install a few weeks ago. I was limited in the area to put my pool unless I wanted to move my septic lines. Since I live on a sloping lot, a retaining wall had to be built as well. therefore extra money
Things started well. The wall were up then the guy started digging deeper for the deep end with his track hoe. He got to a depth of about 5 feet and hit solid rock. errrrrrg. The pool is much lower than my basement but I never thought we would hit rock. The guy said second time in ten years that he has hit rock.
The problem became a bigger issue since we could not find any working Hoeram to get the rock out. Finally after five days, I located someone and it took 6 hours to bust out the rock and it was not easy.
Now I can finally see the light. Monday they are going to prepare concrete area around pool and I hope they might get to pour it Tuesday. If so we will put the liner in this week and start to fill it up. wooohoooo
Its been an ordeal but no ones fault.
Prices for pools are cheaper here in TN. If you just had a regular 20X40 and no problems like I did I would say you could get pool for around $22,000 by a local person not a big company. My pool came from Royal. You might even get the fence within that price too
