Odddon,
Thanks for testimonial! Much appreciated! This place does rock. Who knows how many people have been helped by the Pool Forum. Thanks again and thanks to you also, Evan, for encouraging him to become a subscriber if he is able!

Heh, any jewelry going out around here has to get past my wife first - good luck with that! And I definitely want to donate to the cause, but it won't be until after my $2 gig runs out. My 50th birthday is on the 19th and my wife is planning a fun-filled week in Laughlin and Lake Havasu. About the only "extra" money I've been able to get my hands on recently went for bleach - lots of it at first! Next month looks better for losing the "temporary subscriber" tag.....
Thanx again,
odddon
50? Boy, are YOU ancient!
Welcome to the club! I LOVED turning 50, much to my surprise.
A month before my birthday, less than a year and a half after I badly dislocated my shoulder in a motorcycle accident, spending 6 months in P/T, I took and passed my Black Belt test.
A week and a half before my birthday, we brought home our new baby boy from Guatemala, and our 10 year old only child became a big brother!
On my birthday, my wife and older boy took me to see Hal Holbrook in "Mark Twain Tonight!", his farewell run of the classic one-man show that defined one-man/woman shows.
Monday is the 5th anniversary of that day we brought our little one home. We celebrate it as "Family Day"--the day our family was completed. The little one is going to Kindergarten in the Fall and the big one is almost as tall as me!
And I'm turning the "double nickel" really soon.
Age is just a number, though sometimes IT'S A REALLY BIG NUMBER!![]()

Better still! He JUST learned how to swim in water over his head without floaties! So he can now swim anywhere in our pool! It gives both him and SO much more freedom. Now going in the pool is just a bathing suit away!
And he's still a really sweet kid! Thanks! He's loving day-camp--his bro is now a junior counselor there--and is so much more stimulated than he was at pre-school. He's ready for Kindergarten!
Him and his 55 year-old dad...![]()
