Solving DE contamination

So as I get older (and I'm SO much older than I was when I first came here nearly 15 years ago) my ability to change my filter has gotten so bad... well, for the very first time when I cleaned out my DE filter (no backwash on this one) and then put new DE in... now my pool is cloudy from all the DE.

I must not have gotten the !@#$% heavy filter seated properly but the bigger question is... now what? Do I just reseat the filter and hope it clears the pool properly? It just happened (about 10 minutes ago) and the pump is still running -- what if I just let it run? Will it eventually coat the filter anyway and be fine?

I feel like an idiot but right now the thought of undoing the clamps and dragging that filter off again is... too much.
