Too Much Chlorine For Dogs?
Is there an upper limit for chlorine that's too much for dogs? We have a new puppy (12 weeks) that, for the first time for a dog of ours, we have decided to teach to swim and behave in the pool. I am currently keeping the FC around 8-10 (CYA 60-70). Certainly, when I was fighting algae last month and FC was near 20, I would say levels like that may be a problem, but is it really?
Any resource for toxicity levels for FC in pools for pets?
Thanks!
Re: Too Much Chlorine For Dogs?
Unless your dog is using the pool as a water bowl drinking a lot from it, then it should be OK. Worse than chlorine would be if you were using 50 ppm Borates and the dog was drinking a lot. The risk is still low, but it gets closer to where it could be a problem.

In the summer my dogs refuse to drink from anything but the pool. They are old and healthy.
