Good morning all. Since I started my pool building process, this forum has been extremly helpful. I love seeing the progress pics. So I thought I would give back a bit and show you mine :-)
Pool is moving right along, they dug on 9/21. Rebar on 9/22....gunite on 9/26. Tile and coping today..

Nice layout. Looks like things are moving right along for you as well. Not much yard left to mow, huh??? What are the specs on your pool? Keep the pics coming.
Nice. What is the are on the lower left in the last picture going to be? Is that a beach entry? I see steps on the opposite side.
it is a Play pool. It is 18inches deep...about 100 Sq Ft. We think that is where I will be spending alot of time with a cooler :-)
The pool is a A&S 700SqFt Mountain Lake. Approx 22x42. That is not including the playpool.
Looks like I will be getting Tile and Coping tomorrow. Decking later this week.

Geralde, Great idea. We did a little version of what you have (4ft x 9ft). We refer to it as our tanning ledge. Are you putting any circulation in the area? I did not see any stub-outs. We installed a "bubbler" fountain to help keep the debris off of the landing. I also installed an umbrella holder as well. Here is the shot of ours.

I saw your post on Sean B.'s thread. I wanted to put my two cents in on the exposed aggregate. Pea Gravel is great as long as the builder installs the correct grade of gravel. I am attaching a picture (not the best quality) of my folks pool in Seabrook, TX. They have pea gravel with the flagstone inlay. Hope this gives you some ideas.

Looks good. Did you make any decisions on your decking yet??
Funny you should ask. We were all set on the exposed aggregate. Then I looked at how much we could buy based on remaining budget, and we decided to increase the total by 250sqFt and go with the white concrete. This will come out to the same price as it would if I went with the aggregate (250 sqft less).
I figured the more the better right now, because I will never go back and add more. Not to mention I think the Red brick will really pop against a White concrete background.

I especially like the accent tile on the front face of the steps and the swimout. That's unusual.

Looks good and I think you'll be happier with that than white concrete. You'll have lots of room for entertaining there too or a bbq pitt :D.

Although I must say I was a little relieved that the rain kept our deck from being poured on Friday the 13th...

Oh c'mon, you're not supersticious are you? Your deck looks great. The crew you have looks like they are taking pride in the job they are doing. Let me tell you, what a relief you are going to feel once you see the plaster go in and the water starting to fill the pool. Good luck.
So we got a dry day and the plaster is done. (NO I did not get plastered...so many used that joke on me this week :-))

Plaster looks great. The accent tiles on the front of the stairs sure do pop now with the white background. Congratulations, the end is in sight.

Very nice. It's amazing how the clear water on the white plaster immediately begins to look blue.
Funny you should say that Sean. My wife asked the same question. I had her...and her father believing that the PB added food coloring to the pool before they left yesterday :-)
They were a bit gullable on that one...i Loved it.
Then I showed them the on the web the real reason. They are still a bit mad at me :-)
Well...all done. Pool is filled and filter is running. Now to the landscaping. Going to do RiverRock around the pool..move the fence out..etc. There goes another 5k :-)
Then on to the closing the pool. We are going to run for 4 weeks...then close. Quick question though, do i need to monitor PH level during winter? I don't want to ruin the finish of the plaster.
