I have a hose going from my filter to return. It's the regular plastic type hose. 6' in length, 1 1/2". There is a pin hole leaking in the hose. I did buy a replacement hose but was wondering if this hose with the pinhole in it can be fixed?
I just bought the hose at the end of the season, think my DH hit it with the weedwacker.
Hi, I fix everything with Duct tape. It's just a bandaid though, best bet is to replace it.

Not to disagree with Denis, but the duct tape will only slow the leak. Sure, there are things that can patch/ plug the leak, but getting a new hose is the way to go. BTW, tell DH to be a little more careful around the pool equipment :)
It's been a very long, really hot day and I was just being silly. There really is no way to patch a pool hose, that I know of. Just replace it. That's two votes to replace.

I tried Duck tape when mine sprung a pinhole leak.....didnt work. No combination of glue and tape would hold it.
Try Gorilla Tape from the hardware store....I'd try it for kicks just to see if it would last.
If it is the flex pvc why not cut the hose at the hole and put a straight coupling there.

I fix any leak in plastic with one of two methods, both of which supply the same end result.
1. Torch and heated knife
2. Soldering iron.
Sometimes a little extra plastic is needed for your welding bead, try to find the same plastic for your welding. So far it has worked on every leak I have had to seal.
It works awesome on cracked solar panels and you do not lose that particular vein in your panel, so in turn, the panel does not lose efficiency.
better off just hard plumbing it in with PVC, eliminate (well, almost) the possibility of a trimmer accident again...
parts are fairly cheap, and will last a lifetime (treated properly)

there's a really great 2 part epoxy i've used to fix hoses, and it has lasted a long time. I got it at home despot, one side is baby blue, and the hardener is yellow. On the hose i slapped some on, then wrapped it with black plastic from a trash bag, and a couple zip ties, it lasted at least two seasons till we sold the pool. last fall I used the same stuff to fasten the end on my vac hose for our new IG pool, after cutting out a split near the end. This stuff stays flexible, and I've had great luck with it.
