Re: What to do with the cell phone
Yes, alcohol is a good trick...use the 90% isopropyl. Still need to really dry the thing though. Most phones are impossible to take apart but if you can and have a source of compressed air that helps too. Sorry about the wisecrack but I'm sensitive about phone issues for reasons I won't get into here.

Not a bother, I generally try not to let other people's personal drawbacks bother me on the Internet. It is a great place, and there is an excellent array of intellects and experiences out there to learn from. Some people come off wrong on occasion, I did not take it that way, I more saw it that you misunderstood me. I also only just now noticed that you were a mod, I am as well, I know it is tough sometimes.
Re: What to do with the cell phone
Remember how Pagers used to be.
It beeped, people said, "excuse me" and ran to find a phone.
But now they just ignore you and answer the Cell phone.
I'm anxious for the day they can implant the phone directly into the Brain,
People will be able to just think at each other, so the Blue Tooth equipped shoppers won't annoy everyone around them by talking out loud to someone who isn't there !!
I really think Cell phones are a great tool, if only for the ability to order pizza on the way home!
I just wish they came with a "Manners when using Cell Phone" pamphlet.
Re: What to do with the cell phone
As it is now, when I don't need the phone for work, there it sits, I shut off the land line phone, I still have my computer business phone, I just check the messages on it. People know that I will call them back, then I have a cell phone that I do the same thing to, mainly it is the work cell phone that I am concerned with.
