anyone ever use Jacks Magic or another chemical to clean the steps. Mine are off white and yellow from winter leaves. I heard to use citric acid but a pool guy in the neighborhood said to try jacks magic. I just dont want to spend the 40 for jacks if its not worth it. Please help asap.

romeo -- use the search function at the top of the page and do a search for Jacks Magic. There are several threads where it has been discussed. However, if the stains are from leaves (organic in nature) then over time, the chlorine in your pool will most likely take care of them for you.
thanks, sorry bout the double post. Local dealer sold me a dry powder that you throw in the water. My steps are bright white for the most part, maybe 1 more treatment in a day or so. Whatever it was he sold me was 35 for 5 lbs. It looked like sugar
