25k gallon ig pool (no liner)

I am about to add about 6 gallons of bleach to shock the pool. I was wondering how often I need to add bleach.....is it every day or every other day etc....

Or do I really have to test like every day to see how much chlorine I need?

Are any of you on a routine of like 1 bottle every 2-3 days etc? Its still too early to swim here in Maryland.....so I doubt the chlorine should be used up to quickly.

Test every day and determine how much bleach you need to add to maintain your chlorine between 3-6. Best to test and dose with bleach in the evening. I have a 24ft AG with cya about 40. In my pool, I typically add a couple of quarts per evening. Some days I can skip dosing. Depends on number of swimmers, etc. I always test first to see what I need. You will soon learn what is normal for your pool. Hope this helps.
