Need a New Cleaner- suggestions?

I have Tempo (Aquabot) that broke because it wouldn't reverse.
I want to buy another cleaner and prefer one that I don't have to be connecting to the pool pump. that is what I like about the acqua bot....just throw it in and I don't mind cleaning the bag.

I dont' need any of the other features (i.e. remote conrol, quick clean, etc)
Just one I can throw in at night and take it out in morning

Really just looking for something cheap that, all things being equal,is as good as any other.

My pool doesn't get too dirty.
It is a 20x40 vinyl with stairs and seat 30K gallons...pretty basic

Any suggestions?

I've messed with vaccuum side and pressure side cleaners (no separate pump) and at best they were "eh". I had (still have) a Polaris 165 that worked OK when it worked, but would get tangled up and jets would clog. Polaris replaced all the guts for me once.

I then had a Dolphin remote that worked great for 2 seasons then stopped working. I backed and forthed with them, they sent me a brandy -new one. That only worked for a little while and I replaced it with a Blue Diamond remote. That's worked smashingly well now starting its 4th season--or 3 1/2. Only catch is I have pull out the ladder or it gets caught on it.

But a Blue Diamond isn't cheap. But I haven't brushed my pool in years, because when the Dolphin was working there was no brushing either.
