Empty pool upon opening, time to replace the liner?
I knew I was losing water through the winter, but there really wasn't anything I could do until I got the cover off. Finally, off to a late start this year, the cover is indeed off. This is how I found the pool a few minutes ago:

Re: Empty pool upon opening, time to replace the liner?
By the looks of the liner.....it appears to be fairly new. Take off your shoes and carefully jump in and see if you can find any holes. Check around the perimeter of the liner where the wall meets the sand bottom. Sometimes sharp edges on vacuum heads can create cuts on the liner in that area. If you can't find anything you may have just one or two holes that can easily be patched once located. I would then put a shop vac hose behine the liner to suck out the air and then fill the pool with water to about 18 inches. Then call your local pool company and see if they have a Anderson leaktrack 2200 to locate the leak(s). If they say you have more than 15 holes....you may as well replace the liner......but you can have a few holes patched. Hope this helps.
Re: Empty pool upon opening, time to replace the liner?
I shoved my shop vac hose down the return hole and sucked out all the air. I still ended up with huge wrinkles at the bottom. I'm going to need to pull off the beauty ring and coping strips it seems like, so I might as well just put a new liner in there if I'm going to have to go through all that anyway.
I'm going to order one tomorrow.
Thanks for the advice NEPApoolguy. :)
