PoolPilot Install Questions SC-60
Sean,
Three questions;
The manual refers to using a 1/4" NPT drill bit and guide when installing the Stenner Tank 75005 and pump model number 45MP1, is this a narrow thread, or a wide thread? I bought both but would like to return one to Sears for credit.
Can the Stenner pump be located below the manifold unit, pumping up to it? I presume it can but just wanted to make sure.
Can the tank and pump be exposed to the elements. It would be semi-covered but is exposed to the sun and very infrequently it might get some rain if the winds blow from that direction.
Aloha
Re: PoolPilot Install Questions SC-60
The 1/4" npt holes are if you want to use the Stenner fittings that are included in the Stenner parts bag, or for threading into the Pump trap drain plug. Its the same thread as for the drain plug.
However, you're better off using the injector fittings provided by AutoPilot for all holes drilled.
It's a 3/8" drill bit needed for the injector fitting.
The check valve for the acid line will prevent any back flow or pressurized water going back into the tank.
It can be below water level and exposed to the environment.
