Solar Blanket Reel Ops

I have a 32'X16' AG with surround decking. I want to install a solar blanket reel next season but need some advice. I thought maybe I could get one now when the sales are on.

I've looked in catalogs at them and there are several models. Most of them seem to be installed mid-pool but some are the ends. One end of our decking is too short, the other has the stairs so I guess it would have to be a mid-pool installation.

How do these work" How unwieldy are they for one person to operate? What are the best types to buy? Are they major trip hazards?

Any advice greatly accepted.
