Winterizing
Our AG already is 'swampy' because of vacation and so much heat lately that I've been struggling big time with algae. What do I need to do to just close it down for the winter? If any of you remember, I was the gal a few months back who had emptied her pool last winter not knowing better and let the liner shrink so it, and the pool, collapsed! Not this year!
Thanks!

Re: Winterizing
Hey Pam, the answer as to what to do is BLEACH!! Get the water up to shock level/ cya and hold it there until you get no cc or cl loss overnight while running the filter 24 hrs/ day. Brushing speeds the process and you may have to do a good bit of vacing and cleaning the filter. See the stickies in the 'dealing with algae' section. Once the water is clear again, you're ready to close the pool:)
