The ESR circuit board on page 2?
From here it looks like a plug-in replacement, open the unit, remove the old board, stick in the new board, close it up, apply power.
That's your first option.
The second option is getting the board repaired, probably something simple like a diode or power transistor. If you could obtain a schematic from these guys I'd be happy to look it over with you.

Thanks, I'm going with a new board since it's being covered. I was just hoping to determine if any special tools were required but it's looking like I can do it ... I have been certified on which end of a screw driver to hold :D
