Tips for gas heater

Okay - my pool is a warm and toasty 85 degrees. So it doesn't need the heater right now.

BUT the pool heater is sitting in the garage. It is a Jandy LT 250 propane model - got it at a scratch and dent sale for just $800. And I already have the propane.

So, I was hoping to get tips BEFORE I have it installed on how to get it installed and running - anybody have one of these or know of someone with one of these? Any tips are appreciated.

It was supposed to get installed in January or February - but the whole pool process is like so far behind - we are still waiting on the final permit.
