Need help quickly. Fitting Waterway Sand to Pentair Pump?

Small area and I ran into a problem. The hose that connects the Waterway Sand filter to the pump will not fit onto the pump. It is basically a 3" connector and the pentair is 2 3/8" I believe. I know the pentair has a 1 1/4" normal thread inside that an adapter could screw in, but I cannot find anything like that or anything that would go from 2 3/8 to 3".

Do I have to stick with hoses or would someone else have a suggestion on what to do?

It is the Pentair Dynamo by the way.
