MIGHTY SUN and AQUA LEADER POOLS????
Hello, we are currently in the shopping process for a pool. I need peoples thoughts on the following pools, and if you know of other pool stores that sell them other than Watson's for price comparing. We are looking at the 33' vicksburg and 33' seaside by mighty sun, and the 36' quest by aqua leader. Here is Watson's websites for them http://www.watsons.com/shopwatsons_p...MANID=118&ID=1
We are looking at round pools. Please give me all opinions on the pools and Watsons. Thanks :D
Re: MIGHTY SUN and AQUA LEADER POOLS????
Don't know anything about Watsons. They don't list prices so can't tell you if they are a good deal or not. Some brands are actually generic and dealer branded, meaning someone else makes them and the dealers have an "exclusive" on the brands. I have heard of Aqua Leader pools. All of the pools on the site you pointed out appear to be about the same. They appear to be of good quality and a 54" pool is always nice. They don't give much detail about the liner or equipment either so just going by the appearance, they look nice and servicable. I like the wall pattern better on the second one, but thats just personal choices.
We ordered our pool online and are very happy with it. Hopefully someone can give you an opinion on Watsons - are you having them install it too?
Re: MIGHTY SUN and AQUA LEADER POOLS????
Finally something I might be able to help out with, I purchased my pool from Watsons in Indy, basically from what I can tell the mighty sun is just there "in house" brand name, my pool paperwork says mighty sun but the invoice actually indicates that the pool is an ASAHI EVEREST, which I googled and found to be a pretty decent pool (of course I had already purchased it) anyway, they seem to sell well made pools, only word of cautions are one, get the upgraded liner its WELL worth it compared to the standard cheap one, and two, try to stear clear of the auto clorinator unless you have a watsons near you to purchase the cartrige for it, im over 60 miles away and they never told me I could only get these at there store, of course like anything its a rebranded product and if I wanted to take the time I could probably figure out who "really" makes it but its really not worth it and much easier just keeping up with the bleach and other products then dealing with that thing anyway. All in all im on year 3 and the pool and its installation by watsons contractors where great.
Re: MIGHTY SUN and AQUA LEADER POOLS????
I have a 21' AG Aqua Leader (Don't remember the model) and I love it. It's completely resin made so it won't corrode with ground contact. The ledge is sturdy enough to walk around the outside to clean the pool (we have a pool fence). It came with a beaded liner. Heard good and bad.
We moved last year and I took it down by myself and my wife and I put it at our new house by ourselves (since pool installs cost $1150+ in central Illinois) And yes, we're still married. We put an overlap (coral reef) liner in this time.
I would look at where/how you want your pool and go from there. I've seen people bury their AG pools part way. Are you putting a deck on? Try to envision the final setup and go for what fits into that. You don't want to have to setup based on limitations of the pool.
Re: MIGHTY SUN and AQUA LEADER POOLS????
I have an Aqua Leader pool that I purchased from Watson's in Indy in '99. It's the Concerto 52" model. Absolutely love it. Installation was great. Over this past winter we had ice damage and the stainless steel service panel buckled. (see my thread: "Winter Woes".) We are now in the process of trying to replace the panel. Watsons told my pool contractor that they had the stainless steel panel in stock for all of the pools that they sell. When my contractor went to Watson's to pick up the panel, guess what? No panel in stock. This was the day before the work on the pool was to be done. We had literally just finished draining the pool when we got the call that they won't be doing the work on our pool the next day. Come to find out, the panel has to be special-ordered in from Canada. It will take it 3 weeks (we're thinking positive!) to get here at a cost of $500-600 for the one panel. I'll be lucky to have a pool up and running by July 13. Now, I'm looking at my empty pool with it's shrunken liner that has ripped and torn. Is this Watson's fault? Partially.. Is this my contractor's fault? Partially....
Anyway, would I buy again from Watson's? (I live outside of Lafayette) Probably not. I would go with something/someone a little higher-end. Service service service... Good luck!!
Re: MIGHTY SUN and AQUA LEADER POOLS????
We just had a 15X33 Aqua Leader Pool installed. The model is the Mirage with the "champagne bubbles" liner and it's a very attractive pool. I had an Artesian pool before and I'm just as impressed with the quality of this pool. This pool doesn't have the stainless steel panel, but I'm happier with only one row of bolts at the union of the wall intead of two. I'll support the skimmer when I build the deck anyway. This one is all resin..top and bottom rails, side support covers, and caps.
