AutoPilot output all over the place
My AutoPilot Dig. 220's output is varying so widely at roughly the same water temp(80 or so). It will be at 80% one time and then an hour later it will be at 20. I am having a hard time keeping my chlorine down and am constantly having to check it to make sure the output isn't up again.
Anything I can do?
Thanks.

Poolbee,
Thats not normal. I would recommend calling the factory for a service call. Please have your serial number and date of installation.

Poolbee,
It's probably the trisenor. I've seen this a number of times. Replace the trisenor and I am sure your problem will be solved.
Re: AutoPilot output all over the place
...........or, as 2 technicians when I phoned in told me it could be the cord (grey).
I gotta tell you, I am a bit miffed that the 2 screws that hold the Tri sensor in place on the manifold cracked my manifold so im out 104.00 (50% warranty).
That on top of needing a Tri sensor and what the heck, might as well order the grey cord just in case.
Not a pleasant summer.
This on top of the main cpu/control panel failing in the first few months, and replaced with a "refurbished" unit.
It should had been at least a new one, but, when it comes time to replace, I doubt seriously I would purchase a Autopilot again given MY experience. So now I watch the four units I installed for customers with crossed fingers.
Re: AutoPilot output all over the place
When you get your sensor, put a beak of caulk around the lip where the bottom cap is glued to the tube. Autopilot had problems last year not getting a good glue weld. This caused (rain) water to leak in and short/corrode the connector, causing numerous problems. Mine showed up as "Check Flow".
When you take yours off, shake it and see if you have water in the bottom "cap".
