Temp and openning question

This is my first time openning my AGP. Initially I was planning on openning the pool torwards the end of May (going out of town next week), but we have been getting temps in the low to mid 80's lately and I was concerened that the warm temps may lead to openning to a mess.

With the winter cover on is this a legitimate concern? I have a window of opportunity to open this weekend ( before I go out of town), but if it is not needed than I would like to wait until the end of the month.
