Oval Pool Owners/installers Esp. Doughboys
Hey all,
My brother is looking at used oval Doughboy, we have been told it is the desert spring model. it is a 16'x32' supposedly just under 2 yrs old, the current owners are trading the AG for a IG. Anyhow here is my question; when you look down the length of the pool the walls are wavy they bow out between each upright, is this the way oval pools are (I've only had round ones) or is this a case of a shoddy install?
Thanks,
JJ

Hey JJ. It is not a bad install , that's the way they are. The rails the wall goes into are curved on the sides. Most pools are made this way these days. It sounds like a good deal to me.
Best of luck, Dennis

Dennis,
Thanks for clearing that up for us.

Wow, I never knew that. I would have posted the same question after looking at my first oval pool (hopefully today). I love learning new stuff every time I browse PoolForum.
Thanks for clarifying this oval design trait Dennis.
