post installation of equipment

I built a pool/pond and stocked it with some live fowl. I need to keep it clean so plan on installing the hayward model SP2615X20 super pump (2hp) and the hayward model DE7220 with its large 72 square feet area. The pump is actually 5 feet above the water level of the drums and then it has to pump up vertically 7 feet (the filter is installed here) to the water fall structure. The pump is actually conceiled inside the waterfall structure and is access through a large door. As you can see the piping runs up the sides and over the top of the pool/pond and then down that is because it was conctructed at first without any bottom drains. So I will have to retrofit it in right know. It doesn't matter that much appearance wize though cause it is a pool/pond and rocks will be used to camoflouge the piping.

They do have some bottom drains that work for after installinghttp://www.aquaticeco.com/index.cfm/.../6822/cid/1827 and mayby I will use a strainer like one http://www.aquaticeco.com/index.cfm/...ories/ssid/344 for the bottom drains in the smaller pools/ponds.

Also most of the water pumping will be from the drum in ground inorder to get the full water fall affect. The only reason why I am installing the piping in the large and two smaller ponds/pools is inorder to keep good circulation and keep all independent bodies of water clean. The big pond is around 24000 gallons The next ones is around 200 gallons and then the next one is around 1000 gallons. The drum is probably around 200 gallons in size and acts as the skimmer because there is a mesh over it that catches any particles that fall into it. The drum is hidden from view because there is wooden structure over it and you access the drum (to clean) with a hinged door. The appearance of everything is tried to be made natural with rocks and what not around and in it.

What do you gyes think. Do you think i am nutty for attempting this or do you think it stands a change of actually working.

I think your mostly OK. but adding the 3 suction lines to the 3 overflow tanks might be a pain to balance. I would just leave the last one in place and then size the piping between the tanks so that gravity fed water will spill from one to the next without backing up.

Ooops forgot to mention but the drum in the ground has a automatic water fill on it so if water goes down water then comes out. I'm surprised I figured I would have a couple mistakes in the system. Good to hear though. Lucky me.:cool:
