I've looked at the hardware stores and at Leslies, but I can't find a kit to test my CYA levels. I'll order Ben's but I'm not sure if he's taking orders right now.

WalMart has a six-way test kit for under $16 that includes a CYA test. The one I found there was made by AquaChem.
The Wally World kit is a good buy, if they're still in stock (time for Christmas stuff, dontcha know :D ). I got an hTh 6-way kit there in early summer. It tested for CYA but had enough reagent for only 2 tests  . I needed more.
While waiting for Ben's kit, I ordered just a CYA testing kit from Leslie's online, actually ordered 2. I already had kits to do the other tests, just needed more CYA tests. I don't recall exactly how many tests each kit provided, but it was more than 2 each. It looks like the stock number on my kit is 18-563. Hopefully their site will provide more info if you need it.
Where do you guys live that you can still get a test kit at WalMart? I wish my WalMart had one! Can't find one anywhere, and need one desperately (still waiting on the kit I ordered from Ben). Even WalMart.com is out of stock. If one of you kind souls can find one at WalMart, I'd gladly pay shipping, handling and a finder's fee if you'd send me one!

The Taylor K-2006 is what you want. While you're at it order extra CYA reagent. That gets used up fast. If you're going to test calcium hardness often then get more R-0010, calcium buffer too. The nice thing about Bens kit is he tweaks the quantities and also includes an OTO kit for quick chlorine and pH tests....at least the PS-233 did and thing the 234 still does.

Since I didn't discover this site until it was too late, I bought all my test kits from Taylor direct here the link: http://www.taylortechnologies.com/
I get next day delivery since I'm close.
I use a #79 Cyanuric Acid Turbidity test kit manufactured by Rainbow Lifeguard. It uses a larger sample than the Taylor kit so I think it is easier to use. Check the internet for a supplier but if my memory serves I bought it direct from the mfg.
All in all Ben's kit is the best value --- I have over double the amount of his invested in my bag full of kits.
I plan to get a better kit before the next swim season. A basic crappy one will do for now.
Good news! Wal mart had an HTH 6 way test kit that tests CYA for 13 bucks.
Mccato - where do you want it shipped? send me a PM and I'll get it to ya.
Thanks for the links and the offer to send me a WalMart kit! You guys are the greatest!
