We have the Frog self-chlorinator and we housed-in our filter with a partial Frog cartridge still inside the chlorinator. Will this do any harm over the winter? Or should we take the housing apart and empty the Frog? Thank you.

I would empty it.
The manufacturer advises to remove both the BacPac (chlorine tablets) and the mineral container. The BacPac can be wrapped up and re-used next season but the mineral dispenser should be replaced with a new one next season.Quote:
