Still cloudy--
Greetings--
I thought I had this @#$%^&* alge/cloudy problem beat... until...
32k Vinyl IG
Water temp 80+
"normal" chlorine level kept (4+) with 6% bleach
Pump runs 20 hrs a day in two cycles
Got up one morning-- cloudy!!!
Tested the water:
FC 3.6
TC 8.4
CC 4.8
PH 8
ALk 122
CYA 90
Added 1.25 qt acid
Added 5 bags of WipeOut shock (non-chlorine) I had out back
Brushed pool. Ran pump 24hr/day
Day two-
Lots of alge debris on bottom. Brushed twice.
Added 1.4gal 6% bleach
Air temp at 103 today
Day 3
Same but added 3/4 gal bleach
Still cloudy
Less debris on bottom
Day 4( Today)
STILL cloudy, although not quite as bad.
Added 3/4 gal bleach
ANY SUGGESTIONS ON CLEARING THIS UP ? Or does it just take 3-4+ days ?
Thanks--

Re: Still cloudy--
Wow! That looks like a pool store test and I would question it. Your own good kit will serve you far better....save you time and money.
That said, IF your test is correct, you should've put 11 gallons of bleach in your pool (all at once) to shock it.
You've got several issues but I'm not comfortable suggesting anything without current, accurate test results.
