What can I do with excess liner material that is on the outside of the pool? It is hanging down right now, is it safe to cut the excess off? The liner has been on there a year. If so how much should I leave out??

Hi, leave about 2" hanging over and cut. When I install a liner I tuck all of the excess back into the pool so there is an even two inches hanging over on the outside.
The only time this excess would be needed is if you drain the pool and the liner shrinks. But you would never do this, right?
A vinyl liner should never be completely drained unless you are changing the liner. Therefore I would say you are OK to trim.

I am not planning on draining this sucka till I get a new liner( which will probably be next year, the pool store only had plain blue and I HATE it!).
